Puresin

Fish Care Australia Puresin is a unique macro-porous synthetic polymer that removes soluble and insoluble organic impurities from water faster and more thoroughly than most other competing products. 
Puresin helps to control ammonia, nitrites and nitrates by removing nitrogenous organic waste that would otherwise be converted into these harmful chemicals. 
It is the highest capacity organic filtration resin on the market outperforming popular branded competitors by binding up to 15% more organic material. 
Puresin will not reduce the levels of trace elements, and it significantly polishes water to unparalleled clarity. Puresin progressively darkens as it removes impurities, and is easily renewed by treating with bleach per recommended regeneration instructions. Purisen is designed for both marine and freshwater use.

Puresin will last up to 6 months between recharges,  although if you are keeping heavily stocked tanks, please consider recharging your Puresin media more often to ensure efficient absorption continues.

Bleach regeneration: Soak in a 1:1 bleach:water solution for 24 hours in a non-metalic container in a well ventilated area and away from children. Rinse well, then soak for 8 hours with a solution containing 2 tablespoons of Optimum Prime, or equivalent dechlorinator per cup of water. Make sure to rinse well. note it is common for the bleach smell to persist.
Puresin salt regeneration: Can be recharged with a 6% salt solution in freshwater. Add 60 grams of salt (non iodised) to 1L of fresh water and stir up the water until a you have as much salt dissolved as possible. Then place the Puresin inside a closed container away from pets and children.  Rinse well and it is suggested to soak your Puresin in dechlorinator for 6-8 hours before re-using.
